General DescriptionThe EES is a 17-item unidimensional scale that measures the extent to which people outwardly display their emotions regardless of emotional valence or channel of expression. The response format for the EES is a 6-point Likert scale (1 = never true and 6 = always true), with higher scores suggesting a higher emotional expressivity. The Portuguese version of EES showed an accurate internal consistency, temporal stability, and good convergent and divergent validities.
