General DescriptionThe Structured Interview Guide (SIGMA) is a standardized tool that guides clinicians/researchers in the assessment of depression with the Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS). It consists of ten groups of questions that guide the severity assessment of the following depression symptoms: reported sadness, apparent sadness, inner tension, reduced sleep, reduced appetite, concentration difficulties, lassitude, pessimistic thoughts, suicidal thoughts. The European Portuguese adaptation and validation showed good psychometric properties (reliability and internal consistency).
